Board of Congregational Development

The Board of Congregational Development has two major charters:
     1. To work at developing new ministries within the Riverside District
     2. To help churches through the process of revitalization.
 
Resources
Under the steady leadership of Rev. Randy Johnson (Sr. Pastor of Temecula UMC), the Resources Team is responsible for the evaluation of all funding requests (Equitable Compensation, Loans, etc) as well as evaluation of the Covenant for Vital Ministry that is required of each church annually.

Leadership The important role of Leadership is chaired by Rev. David McGlocklin (Sr. Pastor). Leadership takes on the important role of training our churches to better able to cope with growth in a changing world.

Strategy Strategy has a couple of important roles to perform. The first is developing and implementing a strategy to carry out the vision of the district in both starting new ministries/churches and implementing action plans to strengthen existing churches. Tom Pilkington, a lay member from Murrieta UMC chairs this team as well as chairs the overall BCD.

Vision Bau Dang is not only the vision-caster for the district, he is also the District Superintendent. His vision inspires the team to forge new ground in expanding the United Methodist Church in the Riverside District
